As an attorney, I know all the ways that hours can be inflated - Matt did an excellent job with a far smaller bill than I expected. Prior to hiring, I checked all of his filings on NYSCEF's system - this thoroughly-vetted attorney performed exactly as well as expected, knows not only the law but also the industry and norms around it, put together an effective strategy, and promptly refunded the vast majority of a retainer, an amount of money that I had all but abandoned believing that the case would be more expensive than it turned out to be (and if he wanted to BS me a bit on the hours, I likely would have taken his word for it, something that he would know). Definitely recommend.

From tenant eviction issue to sales of apartment deal, Matthew has been handling a number of my NY apartment issues professionally since 2021. I live in Hong Kong and I have never met Matthew in person, so we have been communicating very efficiently via Zoom and WhatsApp. Due to the 12-hours time difference, he would even work round-the-clock and help me resolve a number of contract issues. In one of the disputes where we had to deal with the counterparty's lawyer, Matthew manifested patience and professionalism whilst the other side was trying to play tough and disrespectful.
